Do you ship to the USA?
Yes we ship worldwide.
We work with local and international exporters along with the Department of transportation (DOT) in the USA. There are certain restrictions on the imports however our builds are custom built to meet those.
Can we visit The Tales of Land Rover
Of course!
We are based in the Brookvale, Australia, approximately 30 mins north of Sydney in the northern beaches.
If you are flying in we can of course arrange one of our team to meet you at the airport.
On your arrival, we will give you a guided tour of our facilities and talk you through the process from start to finish.
Can you supply a defender with Automatic Transmission?
Of course! Depending on your engine of choice we can couple it with a suitable automatic transmission.
Whats the payment schedule?
We offer four stage payments of 25% each. Your initial deposit secures a slot in our build program. The three remaining payments coincide with production progression.
How long is the warranty and what does it cover?
All new parts come with a 12 month warranty.
You’ll also receive a lifelong after-sales support service for you and your Defender.
Can i follow the progression of my build?
Absolutely. Once your Defender enters production you will be updated with regular photos of the progress via your online portal. When the build is complete we commission a professional photo shoot and supply high-resolution images to keep
Do you use new parts?
Yes! most of the body panels are replaced with new. Our parts are sourced directly from Land Rover and other high-quality manufacturers. The complete interior of your Defender is also replaced for new. We work very closely with our trusted in house upholsterers to make sure quality is always at the forefront of all we do.
Whats the lead time for a build?
Currently 4-6 months.
Due to the care and attention needed for our restoration, we limit our production to completing only 12 builds a year.
Can the build be left or right hand drive?
No problem at all.
We understand most of our international customers have these requirements.
Do you restore peoples own defenders?
Yes we can. We have a range of donor cars ready to go but if you have a defender you would like us to use feel free to get in contact.
